Veterans Find It Difficult Adjusting to Civilian Life
According to the Pew Research Center, nearly half of post-9/11 veterans report finding it somewhat (32%) or very (16%) challenging to readjust to civilian life after their military service. At Invicta Solutions, our mission is to support those who have served our country. We recognize that service members and military veterans often face physical, emotional, and financial challenges due to their disabilities and military experiences. By providing personalized support and resources, we aim to help them overcome these barriers, lead fulfilling lives, and successfully reintegrate into civilian society.
Aging Veterans
Aging veterans may experience social isolation, particularly if they live alone or have limited social networks. This can lead to feelings of loneliness, which is a significant stress factor among older adults.
Lack of Employment
Like anyone else, veterans need a steady income to support themselves and their families. Employment provides financial stability and helps meet basic needs such as housing, food, and healthcare
Unable To Drive
Many disabled veterans have physical impairments such as loss of limbs, paralysis, or limited mobility due to injuries sustained during their military service. These disabilities can affect their ability to operate a vehicle safely and comfortably.
Cognitive and Mental Illness
Conditions such as traumatic brain injury (TBI), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), or other cognitive impairments can affect a veteran’s ability to plan, organize, or carry out cleaning tasks effectively. These conditions may also impact motivation or attention to detail.
Family Responsibilities
Balancing work, household chores, and caring for family members (such as children, elderly parents, or relatives with special needs) can be overwhelming. There’s often a constant juggling act to ensure everyone’s needs are met.
PTSD
Veterans with sensory sensitivities related to conditions like PTSD may find exposure to certain sights, sounds, or smells in the yard environment triggering or overwhelming.
